2006 Deer Hunt Report
10 Bucks Hanging
Chris Green Kills a Coyote

Werner Nitschmann III killed a 3 pointer, Bob "Ole Man Kelly" Kelly killed a 6 pointer and Joe Punk each killed a one horn 3 point buck during Monday's hunt.  Chris Green killed a coyote while it was in full stride tumbling it a few times.   That's the first coyote I remember the club hanging during deer week so way to go Chris!  Werner killed his on the Lee farm and everything else was on Edgebrook including the coyote.  Tuesday morning Team 1 drivers pushed 3 bucks off the top behind Wormbrants.  All went down the right ditch and Frank Ondrushek killed a 6 pointer.  Jim "Slug" Szeliga killed a 6 pointer while driving at the top of the right ditch.  It was a 4x2 rack, 2 ½ year old with a big body.  The third buck made it all the way to the point.  He got pushed back toward Infante's and Boozer shot at him as he dropped into the swamp.  Boozer needs another shirt for Thursday!  Then to Kuser and the only buck running was killed by Bill Lyden, a nice 5 pointer.  Wednesday was rather quiet.  4 bucks running on the Lee Farm but no shots fired.  Thursday morning had the buck running on the point while the standers were walking in but no shots were fired.  On the next drive on Kuser, Team 2 drivers had a buck in front of them waiting for the start.  Vic's buddy Joe and Dennis Edwards teamed up to kill the spike.  Start up the drive and a buck broke straight into the drive packing the mail between Steve Lyden and Boozer.  The 6 pointer didn't know he was shot so he ran another 100 yards before he checked out.  Off to Old York Road produced a 4 pointer who deciced to walk over and smell Joe Demuth on stand.  The Deer Hunt Chairman whacked him for the 3rd buck today.  No bucks were killed on Friday.  On Saturday, "One Shot Eddie" Barron killed a "Y" buck on the point.  Wonder if he is the one that has eluded us all week?  Another report filed by our 539 Roving Reporter (Brandon Nitschmann) reports that Tim Gola, who continues to kill deer with his knee brace, killed a button buck and a 3 pointer.  Also Tim's brother Ted, killed 2 does......Ke

Cream Ridge 11/18/06 YOUTH DEER HUNT - Preliminary reports by Brandon Nitschmann indicate that Chris Green missed one in the morning but was not sure about his afternoon hunt.  Steven Edwards also missed a 6 pointer also on youth day.  Darrin Johnson got a 7 pointer, nice shooting Darrin.  Despite Tim Gola having a torn ACL, fractured tibia and being forced to sit in a ground blind, he shot a 7 pointer on his last youth day.  See the picture at left.  Nice shooting Tim!  Brandon passed up a 6 pointer in the morning and didn't see anything in the afternoon.  However, Brandon relates that he did manage to fall out of the stand coming down and mess up his back.  Brandon said "So what a day huh?"  I say that sucks because your supposed to be dragging my deer out of the woods.  Basically, as I was saying, there was no report from the Rapos family AGAIN!.  Chris, send in your pictures.  Surprisingly Sue hasn't sent in pictures to the Green and Nitschmann family album yet!  Will is going to send a picture of Brandon with his back brace!  Stay tuned and thanks for the report Brandon.  It takes a good person to poke a little fun at himself.

Cream Ridge 9/30/06 - Resident waterfowl guide, John Burick spent time earlier in the week building a blind for our future FFF members.  Prior to the hunt John set up the decoys.  At 0530 Saturday morning John took Brandon Nitschmann and Chris Green on the big lake and set up the youngsters in the blind.  Still asleep in a nice warm bed, Andy Rapos was rolling over thinking about taking Sammy and Ryan.  Chris and Brandon got some shooting in and Chris bagged a pair of woody's.  He also got a physics lesson in shooting from a boat!  Not to fear our guide kept him dry!  OH! Mr. Burick?  Where are you??  Here come s the Rapos family!  (Little tired Andy?)  Anyway they took up hunting on the edge of the point.  Lots of shooting.  No reports.  Morning hunt over and Chris is off to practice by 0830.  Who say's you can't do everything?  The afternoon hunt our guide took Chris and Brandon to a secret location on the sod farm.  Bam, Bam!  Brandon gor a nice drake mallard.  Meanwhile the Rapos family was keeping the shotshell industry in business.  Still no reports but rumors have it they might have killed a duck!  A nice time was had by all and we think the guide had a better time than the young hunters!!  The future of this organization were grateful to John.  Guess they will be cleaning John's boat, truck, house, and cellar.  At least they don't have to cut the grass, Sul wants to do it.  (that's another whole story!)  Anyway, a nice day of hunting.  Nice shooting Chris, Brandon, Sammy and Ryan!  Following the hunt they joined the Crabfest already in progress on the trap range.  Nice event, a great time had by all, and no fist fighting this year!  OW!

Nice shooting guys!

Cream Ridge 10/21/06 - Brandon Nitschman filed the following duck hunting report for Chris Green and himself  I (Brandon) got a Ruddy Duck and Chris Green got a nice drake mallard hunting in the morning.  Then Saturday night Chris got two wood ducks with one shot and the drake was huge!  I didn't hunt Saturday night but I thought I would pass this information to the web site.  Yeah, Brandon probably had to work a poker tournament for Will!  Nice shooting Brandon and Chris!  Guides J. Burick, J. Szeliga and D. Green.  Retrieving by Jake!  Click on pics for a larger view.   Thanks for the pics Sue and Dick!
